Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Resize.Tools processes supported images locally in your browser. The image does not need to be sent to a Resize.Tools server.

Does resizing reduce image quality?

Reducing dimensions normally preserves a clean appearance, while enlarging an image can reveal softness or pixelation. JPG and WebP quality settings can also affect detail and file size.

How do I resize without stretching the image?

Keep Lock aspect ratio selected for a normal resize. For an exact frame with different proportions, choose Fit inside to keep the entire image visible or Crop to fill to cover the frame.

How does crop positioning work?

Crop to fill keeps the output proportions and removes excess image area. Use a quick position or the horizontal and vertical sliders to decide which part stays visible.

Which image formats are supported?
